Social Value

SOCIAL VALUE

The Chiltern Lift Company is a well-known and trusted name in lifts, with an unrivalled reputation based on more than 50 years in business. We are proud of the positive impact we have had on local businesses and the community, and take active measures to continue this legacy through pro-active Social Value initiatives.

Working with our employees, customers and suppliers we have developed a comprehensive Social Value strategy that we believe creates fairness and opportunity for all. You can find details of some of our key Social Value policies below.

Safeguarding
We believe that the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults is everyone’s responsibility, particularly when it comes to protecting them from abuse. The Chiltern Lift Company Ltd works to ensure that all children, young people and vulnerable adults coming into contact with our employees, workers or subcontractors are protected and treated with respect.

To see our complete Safeguarding Policy and other policies please visit the Policies page on our website.

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking
We are committed to the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the abolition of modern slavery and human trafficking. As an equal opportunities employer, we’re committed to creating and ensuring a non-discriminatory and respectful working environment for our staff. We want all our staff to feel confident that they can expose wrongdoing without any risk to themselves.

To see our complete Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy please visit the Policies page on our website.

Anti Bribery
We are committed to conducting all of our business in an honest and ethical manner. We take a zero tolerance approach to bribery and corruption, and we remain bound by the laws of the UK, particularly The Bribery Act 2010, in respect of our business dealings both at home and abroad.

To view our full Anti-Bribery Policy please visit the Policies page on our website.

Constructionline Social Value Accredited
Social value refers to the positive impact businesses deliver to communities, individuals, and the environment beyond economic benefits. In the lift industry, creating social value means prioritising safe, inclusive, and accessible elevator solutions, supporting local employment, and reducing environmental impacts, ensuring buildings better serve their communities and enhance quality of life.

We have been awarded the Constructionline Social Value Certificate, demonstrating our commitment to Social Value and our ability to meet the required standards. To view the certificate please visit the Policies section of our website.

Living Wage Employer
We are proud to be an accredited Living Wage Employer. The Living Wage Foundation accredits Living Wage Employers for their commitment to paying their staff according to the cost of living, ensuring employees can earn a wage which is enough to live on in whichever area of the country they live.
